What is wrong with my suzuki bandit?

I have just purchased a 1997 Suzuki 600s Bandit it was running fine when i first picked it up but the next day when i went over 60mph for a while the bike would lose power and then die, but after a few minutes it would start fine and run ok until i went ove 60 mph again.
